Yes. Your AC system must be professionally evacuated and recharged by a certified technician — this is not a DIY task and is required by law. The condenser swap itself is straightforward once the system is empty.

Will this condenser work with my existing hoses and fittings?

The condenser uses factory inlet and outlet ports. Check your existing hose fittings against the new unit before final assembly — some systems may require new seals or o-rings when reconnecting.

What happens if the condenser leaks after install?
