A large pair of handsome late 19th century to early 20th century French Louis Philippe style giltwood mirrors custom made for a large chateau in the Loire Valley region, having cross hatch etching to the frame and the original glass. The tall rectangular shape of the frame has straight corners at the base, while the upper shoulders have the typical rounded corners common to Louis Philippe style frames. Red oxidation showing through the beautiful water gilded patina is original to the piece. Louis Philippe mirrors are ideal for use in both modern and traditional interiors.
