Heelguard Cast-In Hinged Sump Pit Grates stand out from standard grates with a design focused on safety and convenience. Slotted heelguard grates and frames are specifically engineered to be safe for high-heel shoes, making them ideal for high pedestrian traffic areas by preventing heels from getting caught, thereby minimizing the risk of falls and injuries.

These grates are cast into pavement areas above the pit and include cast-in handles for easy maintenance access without affecting the integrity or appearance of the surrounding pavement. Built for safety and durability, they combine slip resistance with the strength to withstand heavy traffic.

Civil Slotted Heelguard Sump Grates are available in sizes up to 1200 x 1200 mm clear opening in Classes B and D, and can also be encased in concrete.
