Euphorbia, also commonly called "Spurge," is one of the largest genera of flowering plants. Spurge aren't cactus, but they do have some similarities in shape and drought tolerance. They have a simplified bloom with no petals, and it's more of the shape of the Euphorbia's body that people go crazy over. They're indeed known for their architecture. The Euphorbia evansii, is a smaller caliper upright Euphorbia with several smaller "arms" or "hairs" protruding from the main stalks.
