The disc features six complementary approaches, from John Cage’s ethereal In a Landscape to Frank Zappa’s turbulent G-Spot Tornado to Steve Reich’s Electric Counterpoint where Valérie Milot recorded all the parts herself. As well the ensemble Les Violons du Roy are featured on El Dorado. Orbis is a bold album and an outstanding artistic achievement by one of the greatest harpists working nowadays.
