Amar Guriro is a multimedia environmental journalist, researcher, photographer, multimedia producer, journalist trainer and a professional fixer based in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.

His work (news stories, multimedia stories, features, photos feature and video stories) has appeared online and in print around the world, including Dawn, Newsweek, Newsline, Geo.tv, Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), United Press International (UPI), Dawn News-Urdu, BBC-Urdu, Himal South Asian, thethirdpole.net, The News on Sunday, Friday Times, Daily Times, Pakistan Today, Balochitan Express, Daily Kawish and others. 

Currently he is full time attache with Lahore-based English paper, Daily Times in its Karachi office as multimedia environmental journalist. He covers environment, climate change, water, biodiversity, disasters, climate migration, delta, coastal communities, droughts, energy, wildlife and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) issues.

Guriro is IVLP Alum 2011 and also media fellow of WaterAid media fellowship programme since 2009.

He is president of National Council of Environmental Journalists (NCEJ), one of its kind national level forum of Pakistani environmental journalists with 104 member journalists from 32 cities across Pakistan.
